2 · USC Shoah Foundation — questionário pré-entrevista + cópia do vídeo#
Para: sfiaccess@usc.edu · Assunto: Family request — Interview 35919 (Mojsie Stobiecki)
Dear USC Shoah Foundation,
I am the grandson of Mojsie Izrael Stobiecki (b. 12 Dec 1914, Kalisz, Poland; d. 18 Oct 2000, São Paulo, Brazil), who gave testimony 35919 in Portuguese in São Paulo on 25 Nov 1997 (interviewer: Ita Rosa Liberman).
On behalf of the family, I would like to request:
- A family copy of the testimony in archival quality;
- A copy of, or the information recorded in, the Pre-Interview Questionnaire (PIQ) — in particular anything he declared about his parents (Hersz and Regina), his siblings (the VHA index lists "Mayer" and "Szia", his sister "Marisza"), his paternal cousin "Sala Stobiecki", and his sister's fate.
I can provide documents proving kinship. Thank you very much, [NOME, endereço, e-mail, telefone]
3 · Arolsen Archives — o caso T/D 200.483 (e Josef/Rolka)#
Onde: formulário https://arolsen-archives.org/en/search-explore/inquiries/ (gratuito).
Request regarding T/D case no. 200.483 (reference 6.3.3.2 / 06030302.0.200.483), opened in 1967 concerning "STOBIECKI, IZRAEL (further first names: MOJSIE, MONIEK)", born 12 Dec 1914 in Kalisz (the case file lists 12 Sep 1914) — my grandfather. He survived the war in the USSR and the Polish Army, was registered as a DP in Heidenheim (A.E.F. card G02552454, 8 Jun 1946) and Stamsried in 1946, and emigrated to Brazil in December 1947, where he died in 2000. I would like to receive the contents of the T/D file (6 documents) and to know who initiated the tracing request in 1967 and with what result — the family has never known whether he formally searched for his sister Marisza, whose fate was never clarified.
Additionally, if possible: any documents concerning Josef Stobiecki (b. 1901) and Rolka Stobiecka (b. 1919), registered in the same Heidenheim DP camp (UNRRA Team 67 list, folio 20, lines adjacent to my grandfather's) — possible relatives.
Onde: https://archives.jdc.org → Contact/Research request.
Dear JDC Archives,
Your Names Index contains my grandfather: "STOBIECKI Moniek — Paris File # BR 1001 — destination BRAZIL", in AJDC Emigration Headquarters Administrative Memorandum #275 of 18 Nov 1947 ("Departures from France, 1947"; the index spells it "Storiecki"; he sailed on the SS Groix, arriving in Santos on 6 Dec 1947). I kindly ask whether the Paris emigration case file BR 1001 survives, and for copies of its contents (family declarations, sponsors, correspondence).
I would also appreciate copies from file US.6235 (Reg. No. 16077) of Tauba Stobiecka (b. 10 Jun 1923 in Kalisz, dressmaker, Paris → USA 1950, accompanied by Uszer Rotsztajn) — the only other Stobiecka from Kalisz in the records, possibly my grandfather's cousin; we are trying to identify surviving relatives.

Dear Jewish Historical Institute,
I am researching my family — Stobiecki of Kalisz (my grandfather Mojsie Izrael Stobiecki, b. 12 Dec 1914, was the only survivor of his nuclear family) — and would like to order digital reproductions of:
- Fond 211 (ŻSS), files 211/187, 211/188 and 211/189 — correspondence and aid lists of the ŻSS delegation in Annopol (pow. Janów Lubelski), 1941–42. A Rafał Stobiecki (probably my grandfather's uncle) and the family of Ajzyk Stobiecki (deported Lublin→Annopol in April 1941) appear in the 1940–41 lists; my great-grandparents Hersz and Regina Stobiecki of Kalisz, deported to the Lublin district in December 1939, may appear in these files. (For completeness: fond 210/240 — AJDC Annopol — is already viewable on the JDC Archives website.);
- From fond 303/XVI (CKŻP Legal Department), file 79 ("real property and other property matters — private persons, letter S", 1946–50): the pages concerning "Stobiecki J." and "Stobiecki Perec";
- From the TOZ collection, unit 815 (Dzierżoniów summer colonies, 1947): the card of the child "Stobiecki Cwi";
- From the CKŻP survivor registration cards (1945–46): the card of "Stobiecki Moniek, Kalisz" (he appears thus in the 1945 World Jewish Congress Registry of Jewish Survivors, p. 243).
Please let me know the costs. [NOME, parentesco, contato]
(Cópias no USHMM, para leitura presencial: fond 210 = RG-15.199M; fond 211 = RG-15.190M (Annopol na bobina 13); TOZ = RG-15.107M; 303/XVI = RG-15.089M/RG-15.247. Atenção: a política atual do USHMM não faz cópias remotas dessas coleções — o caminho remoto é o ŻIH.)

Dear Archive,
My great-grandparents Hersz Aron Stobiecki (b. 20 Jun 1886, Błaszki; merchant/tailor of Kalisz) and Regina Stobiecka née Grodans (b. 1888, Dobra), with their children Marjem (b. 1919), Szyja (b. 1922) and Majer (b. 1929), were deported from Kalisz to the Lublin district (transports of 2–14 Dec 1939, probably the 2 Dec train to Lublin). According to my grandfather's 1997 testimony (USC 35919), a surviving neighbour told him in 1945 that the family perished in a camp — he names Majdanek. Documents also place a Stobiecki family among the Jewish refugees of Annopol (pow. Janów Lubelski) in 1940–41.
Could you kindly check your prisoner/victim databases for these names (also spellings Stobiecka, Sztobiecki)? For Majdanek: we have already checked the published death register of 18 May – 29 Sep 1942 (Księga zmarłych więźniów, sygn. I d 19) — no Stobiecki appears there — so we ask specifically about other card files, transport lists and records outside that register. A negative answer is also valuable to us. Thank you, [NOME, parentesco, contato]
Dear Madam/Sir,
I am looking for the grave of Frania Stobiecka, who died in August 1930 in Kalisz, aged 13 (daughter of Hersz Aron Stobiecki and Regina née Grodans, of ul. Nadwodna 10 — registration card AP Kalisz 4463/219). Was the 2013 inventory of matzevot of the two Kalisz cemeteries ever published, and does it list any Stobiecki? We understand that in 1930 burials were still mostly at the old cemetery; we would be grateful for any guidance. [NOME, contato]
Onde: o formulário "Document Request" da Holocaust Survivors and Victims Database (<https://www.ushmm.org/online/hsv/person_advance_search.php? Pedir:
- "STOBIECKI, Aser Hersz" — City of Lublin Death Incidents Register, Nov 1941 / Jan 1942 — o pedido mais importante de toda a lista: a cópia (idade, endereço, data) decide se é Hersz Aron, o pai, morto no gueto de Lublin;
- "STOBIECKI, Ajzyk" e "STOBIECKI, Izrael" — Initial Registration of Lublin's Jews, Oct 1939 / Jan 1940 — a chegada da família expulsa a Lublin;
Texto curto que serve para os quatro: "I am researching my family, deported from Kalisz to the Lublin district in December 1939. My great-grandfather was Hersz Aron Stobiecki (b. 20 Jun 1886, Błaszki; tailor/merchant of Kalisz) and his brother Ajzyk (b. 16 Mar 1901) was deported from Lublin to Annopol in April 1941 with his son Izrael. Please send me digitized copies of the records above. [NOME, contato]"
Custos: Arolsen, kwerenda do WBH e Document Request do USHMM são gratuitos; ŻIH/AP Kalisz cobram reproduções (valores baixos); USC fornece cópia familiar do vídeo.
